Whilst many students receive a Dyslexia diagnosis and support in education prior to coming to University, many more start University with undiagnosed Specific Learning Difficulties. The Disability Service is here to help.
If you are a USW student who has Dyslexia or another Specific Learning Difficulty, the Disability Service can provide advice and guidance on how to access support and adjustments at University. Please make an appointment with a Disability Adviser to discuss your individual needs.
If you think that you may have Dyslexia or another Specific Learning Difficulty, the Disability Service offers free Dyslexia screening and can help to arrange a diagnostic assessment.
For further information on screening, assessments and assessment funding please visit the Dyslexia Screening and Assessments web page.
Demand for assessment is high and there are a very limited number of diagnostic assessment bursaries still available for the current academic year.
If you would like to have a Diagnostic assessment, please register with the Disability Service and complete our Assessment Request Form as soon as possible. Our Assessments team will contact you to discuss your assessment options within 5 working days.
